Feast of the Immaculate Conception

This Saturday was the feast of the Immaculate conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Our Mother. I guess I should have posted this yesterday, but didn't.

Rejoice! For our Mother, Mary was without sin from the very first moment of her life. While we were born with the stain of original sin on out souls, She was not. We have this stain from the moment of our conception, until out baptism. Mary has never had a sin, from the moment of her conception, to today.

For God had chosen her when He created her. Chosen her to carry His son, Jesus in her womb, and raise Him. How could anyone but sinless one carry out this incredible, amazing task.

Where ever you are, who ever you are, what ever your situation in life is, you have a Mother. You may not have the Mother who gave birth to you on this earth anymore, but you Still have a mother. A mother who was created without sin, never made a sin, and was so sinless that she did not even die. God Assumed her into Heaven with her having to suffer death. She was carried up into Heaven while she was still alive, and there she is today with her Son.

What an amazing, inspiring, devoted mother she is. And what an Amazing, inspiring, devoted, awesome God we have, to give us such a mother.
